Gao Fei, CEO of Mengniu.He graduated from Shandong University majoring in business administration and received his MBA degree from Tsinghua University.
Gao Fei joined Mengniu in 1999, from then on, he holds positions of regional manager of Sales and Marketing Department, center manager, sales general manager, general manager of marketing, thus, he has witnessed Mengniu’s rapid development and became the leading enterprise in dairy industry. Since 2016, Gao Fei became the vice president of Mengniu, and head of the Mengniu Ambient Business Unit.

“Hundred Cities Marathon” Series
In 2024, Mengniu held its “Hundred Cities Marathon” series. The event spanned the entire year, covering nearly 100 cities and 110 races, attracting over 2.2 million participants. It continued to promote fitness for all and support the development of China’s sports industry.

The 2024 Dairy Technology and Nutrition & Health Industry Innovation Conference, with guidance from the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, the China Dairy Association, the China Dairy Industry Association, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Department of Science and Technology, was hosted by Mengniu in Hohhot. Under the theme “Driving Development with Innovation, Winning the Future with New Quality Productive Forces”, Mengniu, together with its research ecosystem and industry partners, released the Joint Declaration on Dairy and Nutrition & Health Industry Innovation in China’s Dairy Capital: Hohhot.

At the 2024 Harvard Business Review China Annual Conference, the 8th Ram Charan Management Practice Awards were announced. The 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity was held in Cali, Colombia. Mengniu was the only Chinese dairy company invited to participate. During the conference, Mengniu officially launched “Oasis”, a biodiversity advocacy initiative.

The financial report showed that Mengniu achieved revenue of RMB 44.67 billion in the first half of 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 12.6%. Mengniu delivered an operating profit of RMB 3.12 billion, with the operating profit margin increasing by 0.6 percentage points year-on-year to 7%.

The Shanghai Association for Food & Cosmetics Quality and Safety Management officially released the group standard “Determination of Seven Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) in Infant Formula and Modified Milk Powder”. This standard, led by Mengniu’s infant formula brand RUIBUEN, is the first domestic group standard for simultaneously detecting seven HMOs in infant formula and modified milk powder using liquid chromatography.

Qujing Ambient Temperature Factory, a subsidiary of Mengniu Group, successfully got the audit of TÜV Rheinland in Germany and obtained the Zero-carbon Factory Certification issued by TÜV Rheinland. Prior to this, the factory had already received the PAS2060 Carbon Neutrality Certificate from TÜV Rheinland and the Carbon Neutrality Certificate from the China Guangzhou Carbon Emission Rights Trading Center. With these certifications, Qujing Ambient Temperature Factory has become the first zero-carbon factory in the dairy industry to achieve both international and domestic certifications.

Mengniu Group, a strategic partner of China's space program for 19 consecutive years, and the China Space Foundation held a launch event in Beijing for their space-cultivated probiotic strains. They unveiled two domestically developed strains, "2016 Guoren No. 1" and "2016 Guoren No. 2." These probiotic strains, which were cultivated in space, are the first two strains in China to beremained in space for over a month, setting a new benchmark for innovation in the integration of the aerospace and food industries.

Indonesian factories, the 60th factory built worldwide and the first Mengniu dairy factory in Southeast Asia, is located in Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone in Bekasi City of Jawa Barat in Indonesia. With a total area of 30,000 square meters and a total investment of 40 million US dollars, the planed daily capacity of the factory is 280 tons and the annual output value of the full production line is 150 million US dollars, making it to be the largest factory with output value per unit area among all Mengniu factories. The factory was put into operation in November 2018, mainly producing yogurt, yogurt beverage, fermented milk beverage, milk beverage, milk flavored beverage, solid beverage and other categories. The sterilized lactic acid bacteria milk beverage products sell well in more than ten countries and regions in Southeast Asia, and are exported to countries in the Middle East region, Australia and New Zealand.
Yashily’s Factory was built in Waikato in New Zealand in 2013, and officially put into use at the end of 2015. Investing $220 million NZ, it is the first time for a Chinese dairy company to build a complete independent factory overseas. The factory has an annual production capacity of 52,000 tons of base powder and 25,000 tons of finished milk powder. Yashily’s Factory gives full play to the resource advantages of the global quality milk source center relying on advanced production technology and lean automatic control system to create high-quality products. Every can of infant formula has passed the tests of China and New Zealand quality inspection agencies, meeting the quality standards of both countries.
